Admitted to the Queensland Bar in 2024.

Whilst having a broad litigation practice, Mitchell primarily practices in regulatory, employment, government, and administrative law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Mitchell practised as a principal lawyer in the Department of Justice (Qld), prosecuting regulatory offences, defending reviewable decisions, and providing advice on appeals, contracts (commercial and employment), and statutory interpretation.

Mitchell has appeared before specialist courts and tribunals in State and Federal jurisdictions across a range of judicial and merits review, professional disciplinary, employment and industrial disputes, child protection, summary offence prosecutions, civil litigation, and regulatory matters.

In addition to private work, Mitchell is a member of LawRight and the Caxton Legal Centre.
